The five Scientific Sections
Three main strategic research themes with defined goals will be pursued to meet the overall aims of the Center.
To realize these goals, five Scientific Directors have been identified to head the research and a number of international top senior scientists and junior principle investigators (PI's) will further be recruited to the Center.
The Center will consist of the following scientific sections:

Integrative Physiology headed by Professor Juleen R. Zierath
Metabolic Receptology and Enteroendocrinology headed by Professor Thue W. Schwartz
Translational Metabolic Physiology headed by Professor Jens Juul Holst
Section of International Scientific Director Gerald I. Shulman headed by Professor Gerald I. Shulman
